I quit eating salty foods and drink plenty of fluids. I have three weeks to go.
Anybody have lots of swelling during pregnancy that seemed to come and go on its own? What did you do to relieve pain?
I haven't worn my wedding ring in six months and now NONE of my shoes fit! My face is so puffy, I don't recognize myself!

thanks for advice so far!
Blood pressure is perfect, doctor says I don't have any thing to worry about in that department...
I just need to find something to relieve this!

you may have pre eclampsia. you need to have your blood pressure checked. if that is normal, iced tea is a natural diuretic and will ease the swelling a bit.

My first question is what does your doctor say about this? I know at this late stage you go in for an exam weekly. Do you have any problems with high blood pressure?
I had alot of swelling with both of my pregnancies. I was told to rest as much as possible, put my feet up, etc. It didn't help at all. I couldn't even fit in my shoes and my face was so puffy my jaw wouldn't even close correctly. I understand what you are going through, I really do! I'm sorry there isn't much I can tell you other than it WILL go away after you have the baby (the water weight will, that is, the actual fat weight will take a little while). Just please be sure your dr. is aware of this and see what they say to rule out any complications. Good luck (and congratulations early!)

Talk to your doctor about it.. I know lots of people say its normal during pregnancy, and it is to a point. When you get to where you cant wear shoes and dont even recognize yourself in the mirror then you know it is bad.. Swelling could be a sign telling you something is going on that shouldnt be.. If the doctors assure you its nothing to worry about then try to except it. Try wearing flip flops that are a bit big on you.. If you need to wear shoes.. I found during all of my swelling they were the only things I could wear comfortably..

Heh, unless your doctor has diagnosed this as a problem it is just normal swelling. I'm 36 weeks right now and I am swelling terribly. My legs and ankles are soooo swollen I feel like I'm walking around on brontasaurus legs lol. It's normal at this point.

I would drink lots of water and gator aid. If it's water weight then you have to drink water to release water. Good Luck
