It would end it for one day. We need to find a more permanent solution, but you have a big heart. "Adopt" a child through Feed the Children or something similar. Really, for what a couple of Cokes cost you every day, you can make sure that one child gets enough to eat everyday, and you'll get the warm fuzzy feeling that your heart is yearning for. Look for a reputable charity online. There are sites that report on charities, and which ones do the most good. If all of us would do that, there would be a whole bunch of grateful children, and the world would be a better place to live.

Good idea...possible? yes probable? no
Here is what I would bring:
a stuffed chicken
a ham
braised pork chops
spaghetti w/ meatballs
potato salad
macaroni salad
coleslaw
relish tray
dinner rolls (12 pkgs)
veggie tray with dip
etc etc etc
You bring the paper products,,,,ok?
I'm bringing a lot so that you/we have a chance in succeeding.

obviously you do not know anything about the human digestive tract. it is also obvious you have no idea why some (most actually) nations starve and roll in their own feces due to poverty.
if you think a potluck or handouts will solve world poverty, you are what truly educated people call 'pseudo-intellectuals' - morons who come up with an overly simple solution that has absolutely has no real world credit!!!

Hello! My thinking is no. Why? Because it would only last awhile, and aside from that there are those who are in authority over lands and countries who would thwart the good trying to be done. It's like the times the US has sent aid to people, and the warlords and other ungodly men in authority who ruined it for those who were needy. Also there needs to be a way to teach folks to fish and not just have someone to fish for them. Just my thoughts.
