I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU ARE ASKING THIS QUESTION, with all the evidence of the benefits of education nowadays.
Education provides Training of what to expect in and from the world.
Education provides Knowledge of how to adapt and adopt in the world so as to make a better situation from whatever is ailing.
And Education provides a leg-up from (whatever condition) and a core-base of judgement so as to prevent isolationism in a society where collaboration rules.

Globalization. Business today isn't restricted by borders anymore...companies are willing to hire the best....and the cheapest workers all around the world now. That means all of the lower level jobs that don't need college are going to overseas. Don't get me wrong, we'll still need things like waitresses here... but that's the level you'll be working at. If you're fine at just making enough to have an apartment and maybe a few luxaries... you'll be ok. However there will definitely be a lot of competition for your job from people that are willing to take lower pay. That means you may find it a lot harder to find a good paying job at that level. With college your opportunities are widened and you are much more prepared for the global economy because you'll be able to fulfill what the US economy needs to be competitive in the future- intelligent people with bright ideas. And trust me, companies will only be hiring those from college. More and more people are going to college every day... it's become the high school of the 1950s if that makes sense. Graduate School is actually what's college was back in the day now. Grad degrees are where the big money is at.

The less education you have, the less potential you have to make money and sustain yourself and your family. If you want to secure yourself for the future economy, go to college. For inspiration, I'd suggest looking at the top 10 list of most wanted career paths (for example finance and people in the medical field, especially nurses, are highly needed now). Good luck!

The advantages of getting an education in any level, that is, from K-12 then universities and beyond, I think there are some key reasons on the matter. One, an education in the formal one as designed and included as one of the key policies of any government in the world centuries ago is a must or crucial foundation for essential literacy and numeracy and good citizenship behaviors as the members of the family, community and the nation. Two, such educational process aiming at develop and promote intellectual potential of the youth is important to upgrade the present and future workforce needed in all sections- private and governmental- in the nation. Three, philosophically speaking, good and great nations have learned to develop their people of all age so that they know how to do, what to do and why to do their duties to serve their motherland.

Higher paying jobs and career choices. It is a proven statistical fact that a college graduate will make an average of $200,000 more in their lifetime than a non-college grad, regardless of what degree or what field. That in itself should be motivation enough! My advice: Keep studying and earn that degree. I'm a school teacher--I should know. Get your higher education in SOMETHING--anything, really. You may not ever "use" your degree, but the experience is well worth it. Anytime you exercise your brain muscle is an opportunity for growth.

Do you really have to ask?

Getting an education gives you a broader frame of references and more options in life. Many careers require degrees and won't hire you without one. You sharpen your skills and your brain, you make connections with a networking opportunity--the school, the alums, the teachers, the students you attend classes with.

when you talk about education, I would relates it to upbringing, learning almost anything in life and not the least paper qualifications.

The advantage of paper qualifications is:

Having a good first impression when you submitted your resume for a job application.

It provides a passage to other specialised learning/higher education

It is a recognition of your learning achievement

and many more .........
