I would say an ipod nano with an arm strap especially designed for joggers, plus you can view what your listening to and you can choose which song.

your best bet is either a mini, shuffle, or a nano. if you want an mp3 player that's like an ipod, i suggest a samsung yp-t9... the 2 gig of 4 gig. i mean you are just jogging so you don't need that much memory. i have a 2 gig and it probably holds close to 400 songs, but it can also play video, listen to the radio, view text, record voice, and it has cool features such as slowing down and speeding up music playback (which i really like). also, it has 20 hrs playback for music, 5 for videos, which i think is more than any ipod out. the 2 gig is around $120 and the 4 gb is around $140.. and the accesorie for like a belt clip is like $20, so you make the call.
despite some stupid things, such as long boot up time, the samsung media studio (rip off of itunes), the mp3 player itself keeping a play count, and not being able to make playlists without connecting to a computer, i'd pick the samsung yp-t9 over any ipod.

i own a ipod shuffle its roughly an inch both in length and heighth, also its the cheapest of them all (roughly 80 bucks ) it holds 1gig of music. The drawbacks to the shuffle are that you only have a limited menu...by that I mean you can only do the basic commands (play, forward, reverse, pause and stop) the shuffle uses the computer to recharge and you can put ANY song on it. (you dont have to have itunes) i usually use limewire songs. The shuffle will play the songs either in rando order or the order from which you placed them. The best part of the whole thing is that it freaking fits anywhere...on my shirt collar, on my shirt sleeve in my pants, on my pants lmao just a little humor for you. Personally i love the thing especially whilst playing halo
