The "war on terror" is a war on the American people.
You have lost your Bill of Rights and Constitution. Your government is sneaking laws under your nose as they continue to hack away at the rights and freedoms the Fathers of Confederation pounded out so hopefully for your great nation.
Read the following quote:
"Today the path of total dictatorship in the United States can be laid by strictly legal means, unseen and unheard by the Congress, the President, or the people. Outwardly we have a Constitutional government. We have operating within our government and political system, another body representing another form of government - a bureaucratic elite." Senator William Jenner, 1954

With the cold cruel implementation of 911, the current administration declared a war of terror on its own people.

Immediately after 911, the American people, in their pain and emotional condition, were bamboozled by the introduction of the Patriot Act. There is a famous quote from Kissinger, a great enemy of good Americans. THIS is what they set in motion when the Trade Center fell.
"Today, America would be outraged if UN troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government." - Henry Kissinger, Bilderberg meeting, Evian-les-Bains, France, 1992
The notion of a "war" against "terrorism" has been used to exploit participating governments to pursue long-standing policy objectives, reduce civil liberties, and infringe upon human rights. Some argue that the term war is not appropriate in this context since they believe there is no tangible enemy, and that it is unlikely international terrorism can be brought to an end by means of war.
"Terrorism" is not an enemy, but a tactic.

We live in a country that has it good. We've been shielded, but if you think that the crazy people that want to kill you for the "cause" will stop, don't kid yourself. Iraq isn't the reason for the war on terror. It is only the battlefront that the radicals chose. Islamic radicals, who preach hate, have similar beginings to Naziism. Don't believe me, get your "History of Nazi Germany" book out. The war will only end, when the radicals are defeated. It is a battle that has to be won on many fronts, military and political being just part of them. The world, including those Europeans who think they can escape the terror by being silent, will be in fear of terror again. To the radicals, their silence is irrelevant. They are infidels and that's it. People must take off the tunnel vision goggles and look long-term at the consequences. There is no giving up. They've already said they WILL attack us on US soil. Battle them there or be in fear here; your choice. But don't go blaming anyone, when a building, plane or city near you is destroyed or if YOUR loved one is killed. Just remember, the "war on terror" is just a catch phrase, isn't it??!!

Giving up is not an option. It would be suicide.
The Islamic terrorists do not need a valid reason to attack us, they just need a pretext. If we withdraw, they will perceive it as a sign of weakness. This is how they think; Israel knows this all too well.
The only way the terrorists would leave us alone is if our country abandoned our Constitution and replaced it with Sharia law. Since that cannot happen (thank God, Allah, Buddah, whomever...) we will always be "infidels" to them. No matter what we do, we are their enemy. How many times have we intervened to SAVE Muslims from being slaughtered, in Bosnia, in Somalia, in Palestine. We never receive any gratitude. They seem oblivious to all the effort we have expended trying to get a Palestinian state established.
These terrorists are like "The Terminator". Either we get rid of them, or eventually, they'll get us.

That's a complex question. If you mean do we give in to the Islamic radicals, convert to Islam and replace our Bill of Rights and Constitution with Sharia Law - then NO - that is totally unacceptable.
If, however, you mean do we give up on our present strategies in our war on terror and strike out on a new path to try and squash this demented ideology, that doesn't sound like a bad idea.

No but we need to war with the right people. Taliban, Al Qaeda, Bin Laden would be the ones to war against they are the ones that attacked us and helped train the terrorists. What we've done is sort of like your little brother threatens you hit your older brother instead when your older brother had nothing to do with the threats. Your little brother sniggers enjoying the fact that the biggest brother is getting smacked for what he did. OBL is LHAO

Let's see . . . . . . . If you (God forbid) had cancer, would you "give up" the fight against it? Would you just sit back and let those destrutive, and often deadly cells multiply . . . . . slowly, but surely, destroying what is good, and leaving your body weak and destroyed. Life as you know it would come to end . . . You would be a prisoner in your own body.
What a stupid, STUPID question you asked!

No we shouldn't but involving our selves in Iraq's civil war has nothing to do with terrorists. We should bring our troops home and use them to secure our borders.
