I am getting an Error Message when I try to Launch Counter Strike Source?

Question

I have successfully loaded Counter Strike Source onto my Laptop but every time I Launch the program from the Menu box I get this error message,

" LoadTGA:Only type 2 and 10 targa RGB images supported "

can anyone tell me what i need to do to fix this?

I found the answer for you in the steam support area online. The link is really long so i'm sticking it below in the source section.

It starts out saying "This error most likely indicates that you have a damaged file, usually a skybox (but not always).

Since the error message doesn't tell us what file has the problem we can't search for it so we'll have to try a more brute-force method."

Then there is a long method that follows. If for some reason the link below doesn't work for you, just go to www.steampowered.com then click on support and then in the search box just copy and paste your error message and you'll see that the solution just pops right up. Goodluck!

have you tried cleaning it?The same thing happened to me once,i bought an online sonic the hedghog game and it did not work,so i looked at the bottom of the disk and it was all dusty,even though i just got it!sometimes people who sell the games at the store trick you into thinking that it is new,but it may be used a few times without being cleaned first!
