why do people think that someone who is gay and lesbian is a big deal , i mean its been going on since the very beging of time , this is more of a statement but some people act like its a bad thing , when it used to be normal, could it be that people just like to talk ,,,,,,,,uhhh i wish people would stop being so judgemental !!! who agrees?

society is amazing. it has done a great job convincing people that there is "one right way" to be, live, act, etc..

heck, they used to force left-handed kids to swtich to right hand in school back in the 50s! they just assumed that everyone was right-hand dominant.

funny how nobody seems to judge lefties anymore... yet we still judge LGBT, we still judge overweight people.. lots of sad things the world is still coming to terms with.. heck, masturbating is still something people get teased about. even though we ALL do it!

change is gradual, but progress is being made.. teens these days are more open and accepting of various sexual orientations, sexual activities, talking about them etc. it's good news

I have had gay friends all my life, literally. One of my best friends that I've known from the time I was a toddler is a lesbian, but I never found out until we were in our early teens. In grade school I became friends with a guy, & didn't find out that he was gay until we graduated high school. I had several gay friends in high school that were "out", and they are still my friends to this day. I choose my friends for their excellent personalities, not their sexual orientation.
People that judge are going to do it no matter what you say. Yes, they are rude & ignorant, but they are also missing out.

Agreed! If people don't have anything to talk about, they can't hear tthe sound of their own voice. It's no big deal.

i agree they act like they are going to be forced to participate or like it really affects them somehow i really believe that most ppl who are homophobic are actually scared that they are gay i say let it go and as long as ppl arent sleeping with children they should be able to sleep with whoever they want that is willing to sleep with them

i disagree i think the fact that someone is gay is a very big issue
since alot of people disagree with their ways and feel uncomfortable around them or their influence
