scottyrub - How does this question have anything to do with either party? It is just a question about the feasibility of the talks working. Everything is not Red vs. Blue.

Finally crawling out from under a rock are we? I'll indulge your Fred Flintstone Back Pedal. All along you conservatives have had every argument under the sun against Diplomacy--amazing how you all flip flop like a wind-sock when our President suggests he'll do something the Libs have been screaming for all along.

Negotiations--Good. Our Negotiators--joke.

There's no way in hell that the Bush Administration is gonna back any kind of peace in the region without a set of ridiculous demands and guaranteed U.S. Oil interests. The Iraqi people will not go for any kind of U.S. authored deal. The Muslim world has no interest in the "Greed" of the west and will not settle for one that includes any of George W's ideals. Don't get your hopes up too high---you don't go from retard to genius overnight.

In response to personal message:
When you post a question that insinuates that your non-partisan despite past posts--sorry--I'm not the one who pulled his pants down. Even suggesting that our current adminstration can solve this mess through negotiation, fully knowing what their "actual" goals and the positions held by the parties involved of this Administration--settlement is highly unlikely and a pipe dream at best. If we see a deal that GWB agrees to-
Stop funding the Shiite militia's with Black Ops money that only leads to more money for them to buy weapons to attack us
Gets rid of the Big Oil 30-year "Sweetheart deal
Gets rid of the 14 Bases under construction and the Mini-Vatican Embassy
and agrees to mass reparations to the Iraqi people--then you may see some kind of unilateral agreement.

Syria and Iran are funding and supplying the insurgents. I would hope that we could get some people in there to get them to stop so we could wrap this war up and bring our troops home.

Liberals would say NO. In there minds we have already lost. They hate Bush and want him to fail. They hate America.

Everyone else believes its a good thing.
