22 is not too old! You will find that when you do go to school, there will be people in your class who are old like me!

I was 21 when I started college and there were 40 and 50-year-olds in my classes.

I can't help you out with the part about the felony, but I think that with good behaviour, you will likely get a good job if you work hard. (probably not in accounting and money-handling jobs though)

I waited until I was 21 to go to college and I never looked back! It's way better to be a bit older than too young like most people starting college. They make too many wrong choices and tend to goof off too much because they're maybe too young to have what it takes to really apply yourself! Your age is perfect! The felony will not be on your record forever. So shag that worry! A degree would help erase the mistake you made in the first place for doing such an act. Go for it! Claim your American dream! Everyone should make the effort to better themselves! You won't be in last place, forever, if you do! I learned great things in college and education is never a wrong choice! How could a good thing count against you? It would certainly be a step up from where you are now! Get past your past! Move on! Leave it behind, not to be repeated! The new you! Give yourself that chance! Good luck!

Im not sure about the felony thing but, your never to old to go to college.

Also, im going to be 20 and havent started any college course because I have no clue what I want to study or due with my life. Im probably going to contact my states employment office and get some info on taking an apprenticeship for the trade union. Jobs such as Carpenter, iron worker, etc.....They pay extremely well. Like 35 an hour benefits, plus you have a union. Cant be beat IMO.

I interview and hire for a 6.5 billion dollar company and just to let u know we hire people with felonies more than once. I also am 23 and have yetto finish my business degree, but my company is paying for it and i will be finishing here in a couple credit hours. I wanna let u know depending on ur degree and study all college is is a way for u to show u are willing to stick it out for 4 years. If you do this they will look past ur felony guarenteed and if not, u dont wanna work there ne way.

the toughest thing will be getting your butt in gear to study
since you have been out of school for three years

take notes, take advantage of the library 'introduction' seminar
that is a walk through for your school - because you will be
camping out there at some time in your college career

get your homework done - read ahead in your books

you can do it - - - felony robbery - o man!
well - be up front about it - and talk to a college counselor
that 's what they are there for - see what advice they can give

maybe a social worker - working with ex-cons
since you have been there? I don;t know -

stretch your wings - best of luck
EAGLE!

I am a sophomore right now going to a state school and there are a lot of people that don't fit the typical college age. I don't think it will weird for you. All you need is a little commitment. No one is going to say anything about you being too old. At least I've never seen people say anything.

You would probably be able to get a job, but people much older than you are go to college every day. If you're worried about deadlines try a distance education course, like Penn Foster (they offer up to Associate degrees). I know people who are in their 30s, 40s, and 50+ who start college, so if they can do it, you can, too.

WAAA!

I am 49, and just graduated 5 years ago. Educating yourself is always preferable to whining.

It can erase your previous mistakes and lift your depression. YOU have to want it though. It has to be the mountain you will die on.

Crime is an indication of laziness. It is easier to slum around than work for something.

My father taught me that I should be responsible for myself, instead of sponging off of other people.

Keep in mind that you are going to see many people your age or even older, so you won't be out of place.

Think of those who did 4 to 6 years of military, and they are going to school on the G.I. bill.

Good Luck
