Yes, but not in the Western sense of the word. Any act can be considered terrorist if the offended party wishes to label it such. If China or Soviet Russia but three air craft carrier groups in and around New York harbor, it might be considered terrorist. Clearly Timothy McVeigh and Oklahoma city was terrorist by any definition, so yes the western world practices terrorism.

The aspect of suicide bombers, religious driven war and the insane hatred between Jews and Arabs isn't Western in any term. Traditional Western bigotry like White vs Black or for that matter any minority pale to insignificance to the ethnic and cultural hatred that fuels the Middle East. Even the troubles in Ireland can't come close to the insanity in the Middle East.

I really would like to know just exactly how the Bush administration defines a "terrorist" and "terrorism", it would be interesting to know if they ever have defined what they are fighting.

Sorry, but it is impossible to answer this in a yes or no way as there is no univerally agreed upon definition for terrorism. It is actually quite hard to define on paper what terrorism is.

Yes, but how are you going to pick a best answer from a yes and no question.

Edit: I am going to give you a little more. We have become them, shock and awe killed many innocents in Baghdad, torture, secret prisons. Holding people hostage forever at gitmo. Yes my friend we have become them.
