Please....I read some of these responses and if its you people weren't watching games. Damon Huard was spectactular in the games he appeared last year. He quarterbacked games with NO decent receiver and only Larry Johnson in the backfield and did so with grace and WINS. The Colts had ZERO respect for Trent Green in the playoff game and buddied up on Larry Johnson instead to the tune of a horrific running attack. Trent Green is done. His management should problably take a more proactive stance on the argument as he's coming off serious head trauma. CHIEFS FANS: You should hope they sign Huard while they have the chance. Other teams are salivating at having such a backup. Jerry Jones will pay top dollar to back up Romo.

The old saying is that you can't lose your starting job to an injury, but that is not true anymore. I think If you are a starter and you go down and the back up does a good job, you shouldn't be penalized and you should be happy he does good. You should return from injury the #1 guy no matter how well the back up played. Sure if you start to struggle and the back up comes in and does good, thats a different story....The orig. starter should get the first crack at it though...Green is the man in KC>>>

Huard regarded reliable interior the first couple of video games, yet ought to no longer pass the offense for lengthy classes of time interior the finest few video games he performed. i'm no longer positive if his dismal numbers were the end results of his own ineptitude or Herm Edwards' insistence on operating Larry Johnson into the floor, yet Huard can not win adverse to the Colts. no longer that it truly concerns. The Colts gained't pick to address LJ, so there would nicely be no favor to even placed a QB interior the game.

If he performs well in training camp and the preseason he has a chance to start. I still think Green has more skill than Huard, but Huard definitely showed last year that he should at least be considered. He is not quite as talented as Green, but he is not very far off at the moment.

As a chiefs fan i definately thing damon huard should start for the team. When trent green got injured and he was out for awhile it was damon who got them to the playoffs. The thing i didn't like was herm edwards starting trent green when you had damon huard on a roll and possibly could of got past the colts in the first round. Trent was still recovering from his injury and he played like a rusty old man out there. Please start damon.

Green is going to start. I think the Chiefs just wanted to secure him for the future, because Green is to the point where he could retire out of the blue (or keep playing like Favre ---they'd like to have a B-plan if he goes with retiring).

no, although herm edwards may have a competition for the job. trent green wil be the starter though, even if he is getting up in years. huard is a good, quality backup, but green is better and more experienced, he will get the starting job.

Ehh, I don't think so, I know he did a great job when Green was out but Green is still the best option for winning right now.

i definetly believe he will be competing for the starting spot but giving it to him going into trainning camp no way. trent green played good when he came back from his injuries and has proven himself as a top quarterback in the league

Based on last year's stats I think he should be. The guy threw only 1 interception. That's good for even Manning.
