I had started a new pack of low estrogen birth control pills from high dose estrogen pills and had unprotected sex with my boyfriend...a week or so later i had spotting for a few days and a few weeks later i started my period sunday and it was super light and it is now tuesday and its basically gone.. is this normal cause of the switch in birth control pills or cud it be from having unprotected sex?

It is probably from the change in hormones. If you read the package inserts (at least in the kind I was on) it says that irregular bleeding is normal and there could be a change in your period until your body gets used to the hormone. If you don't have a specific reason to worry about having unprotected sex with your boyfriend, then don't worry at all. If the irregularity continues for another month or so, contact your healthcare provider!

When you change strengths in birth control pills you can have a bit of breakthrough bleeding. It happened with me.

But, since you had unprotected sex at that time, get a pregnancy test to be sure.

yes it is normal for periods to be erratic the first 1 maybe 2 periods when taking new pill. and it takes 2 weeks for pill to set in before having unprotected sex... maybe have a pregnancy test to be sure

SOUNDS LIKE FROM THE BIRTH CONTROL PILLS BUT .IT WOULDN'T HURT TO GET A PREGNANCY TEST , JUST TO BE ON THE SAVED SIDE!
