Dish has a better quality, except for those few HD channels on Cable. It has better interface. More channels....but - Cable's on-demand just destroys dish in so many ways. I still keep Dish Network though...I just can't seem to part with it.

I think it depends on what kinda programming you are looking for. Dish Network now seems to offer the most Hi-Def channels. Crazy weather like thunderstorms can temporally shut down your dish reception. Figure out what kinda programming you what and compare the prices. Different programming packages vary from one provider to another. For a while there was talk about Dish Network and Direct TV merging. I'm not sure where that went if anywhere. All the different providers make it hard to compare "apple to apples". Good Luck.

Cable is much more expensive, dish is usually less expensive. It really depends on who your cable company. However, I prefer dish to cable by far.
