Amish Rebel you are an excellent example of the problem. To you it has nothing to do with the downsides of Hillary as a candidate, only that she is a Democrat. And before you Dems get up in arms I would feel the same way about a Republican making the same sort of comment

I am a registered Independent who has in recent years leaned more Democrat than Republican, so perhaps this will still be relevant.
I would consider voting for Rudy Giuliani over Hillary Clinton, but I would vote for Hillary Clinton over either John McCain or Mitt Romney. However, the end result would really be up to some deep thought and examination of both candidates.
I would likely vote for Barack Obama over all of the above, for various reasons such as greater international experience in his life, and less ties to Washington. None of the candidates are truly exciting in terms of policies to me, but a few are palatable, and Giuliani hasn't shown any deal-breakers yet.
Still, I suspect I'm going to vote Democrat partially to support a swing back of the pendulum after six years of unopposed Republican legislation. Also, I can say right now that if any candidate will stick to a promise to repeal the Patriot Act, that would be a huge gold star.

i'm a extra of a liberal than some thing else, registered self sufficient. If Hillary wins the nomination, I is in simple terms no longer balloting Democrat. the in effortless words way i'd vote Repub will be if Ron Paul were given the nomination. in the different case, i'd be balloting for a third party or self sufficient candidate.

No, I plan on voting for Hillary because she is a democrat. She is also a strong, very intelligent woman, that is not afraid to stand up for what is right. I think an added advantage that she has is her experience in the white house and a husband that was the best president that I can remember at the job of doing the business of the country, and I am 61 years old.

There is no Republican who has announced his intention to run for President that has the intelligence and experience contained in Hillary's little finger.
She is not my first choice for Democratic nominee because of her vote for Iraq and her conservative politics, but I will proudly pull the lever for her on election day if she is the Democratic candidate. Republicans are reprehensible.

There are many reasons why a Democrat would not vote for Clinton and might support a Republican challenger. Without knowing who that challenger was, I can't say. I'd vote for Mike Bloomberg.

Yes, if the Republican was Olympia Snowe or Lincoln Chafee. No, otherwise.

Registered Democrats will vote for her just like registered republicans will vote for whomever they nominate. It's the undecided majority that she will scare away.

Only if that Republican was Arnold Schwarzenegger, which will never happen for obvious reasons. Any other Republican would continue to wage war and destroy international relations that took decades to establish.
