I know Brandon Roy is a definate win for Rookie of the Year, and Zbo dominates, and the blazers are never on nationaly tv, we still have a shot at the playoffs, and we have a young emerging strong team. Next year the blazers should be on ABC or ESPN.

Why don't the Hawks get on national TV? Why didn't the Clippers get on national TV before last season? The reason is simply that the Blazers are not good enough right now, and don't have a marketable star (Randolph has a bad rep, whether it's deserved or not).
I wouldn't worry though, because UNLIKE the Hawks, the Blazers have a promising young team, and they will get a few national TV appearances either next year or the year after. Once Roy wins ROY, or once Aldrige makes some noise, the TV producers will recognize the buzz around these guys and give the Blazers a few games.

Let's see. Right now they are 24-34 and in 14th place in the West, 24.5 games behind the leader and if the playoffs started today they'd be 4 games behind the 8th seed. HMMMMM. Last year they were 21-61 and finished last in the West, 42 games behind the winner and 21 games below the 8th seed in the playoffs.
Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge need to get some experience and learn how to play in the NBA; after all they ARE rookies. Zach Randolph needs to learn how to play team basketball - less than 2 assists per game from a guy who sees the ball a lot? Once all this happens and they get healthy (Raef LaFrentz, Darius Miles and Joel Przybilla are all injured), they'll get the TV time.

Well they have a very small and extremely localized fan base which has been depleted over the years with the Jail Blazers. Lets see them win back their own market before we start talking about national markets. they are also very bad. While Cleveland has shown that a small market team can get on the air, they have arguably the best talent in the sport. If Portland can get their hands on a star of that magnitude then they'll have a shot ( Durant? Oden?) Otherwise they won't be on TV till they get really really good which won't be happening for a while.

The Blazers will get national TV coverage like the Cavs or Lakers once they make the playoffs. It seems teams that have made the playoffs get a lot of national TV coverage. Just wait until the Blazers make it the playoffs then you will be seeing them on TNT or ESPN.

Because of their crappy records that's why.
Unlike the NFL, the NBA focuses on certain basketball players when it comes to promoting the game. That's why you always see the Lakers, Suns, Heat, Spurs, Cavs, Mavericks, Pistons and Bulls on TV all the time.
