Start---Run---type in: msconfig. Click the startup tab and check off the MSN messenger and Yahoo messenger check boxes and whatever else you don't want in startup and click apply. You'll need to restart. Then should be fine. Hope this helps.

for msn you'll have to rename the .exe file. it's located in c:\program files\msn messenger\

for google talk you have various types of options. the fastest would be to search through the settings of the program and deselect the option that makes it start up when you boot your pc.

the harder one would be to click start then run then type: regedit hit enter then go to: hkey_local_machine/software/microsoft/windows/current version/run

then look for the key that is related to Google talk, it should have goole talk in the name or in the data tab, then right click it and delete it.

you can do the same with MSN messenger too
