Confused.....The reason religion can't be taught in school is because that would violate freedom of and from religion. Who would choose which religion would be taught?
There are good reasons to own a gun, and bad reasons. The only reason I support the right to bear arms is because an unarmed populace is too vulnerable to tyranny!!
Being pro life has to mean that you are pro every person's life...otherwise you are a hypocrite. In other words, if you are against abortion because you are pro-life, and then advocate the death penalty, or bombing abortion clinics, or war, then you can only be a hypocrite!!!!!
Being against gay marriage is like saying that you know the mind of God, and that you think the perfect God can make mistakes. God made gays, just like he made the rest of us, and every one has the God given right to be whoever and whatever they are, and live their lives the way they choose, as long as they don't violate the rights of others to be who and what they are and live their lives just as they choose,,,and so on!!! Who are you to dictate how anyone else should live.
Supporting our troops, does not mean supporting this war. This war was started on false premises, and lies. If you really support the troops, then you will be willing to research, and find out all the truth, that you can, about why this war was started. All you have to do when you want to know the real truth, is to follow the money!!!! In other words, dig deep, and find out who benefits from this war!!! The same goes for 9/11...dig deep, and find out who benifits...follow the money!!!!
War against terrorism? If you are believing the conventional, official story about 9/11, and the war on terrorism, maybe you should do some deeper research. You might be surprised, if you really look at it. Opening your mind and asking questions, is the most patriotic thing you can possibly do!!
Liberals like America too, despite what many conservatives seem to think. We just know that it is not perfect, and we want to fix the things that are wrong. We want America to grow and improve and evolve, and most conservatives seem to want things to stay exactly the way they always were, even if these things don't work and don't benefit all the people!!!!

This derisive litany parallels the tenants of no current political party. It's a distortion of some of the Democratic philosophies but it's not really accurate. Oil companies profit is 4%? It's close to 20! Government spending instead of you? Let's assign individual responsibility for Air Traffic Control. Freedom of speech? People are offended every dat. Owing a gun? We have more murders by gun that all the other westernized countries COMBINED. Do you think local weathermen are analyzing global trends? Slaughter babies? Women have a right to choose. The other points are equally jejune.

Its the republicans who make the issue that youre this or that, in an effort tocloud the issues and impeded progress that doesnt agree with their agenda.
They'll call you liberal, this that.
Do you have to belong ot a party? do you have to agree with everything one side says or does?
NO!
Im all for the best decisions for our country.
And should anyone ever group me in with a liberal, then I respond to them with these words from a smart man.
Sen. John F. Kennedy, acceptance of the New York Liberal Party Nomination, September 14, 1960.
What do our opponents mean when they apply to us the label "Liberal?" If by "Liberal" they mean, as they want people to believe, someone who is soft in his policies abroad, who is against local government, and who is unconcerned with the taxpayer's dollar, then the record of this party and its members demonstrate that we are not that kind of "Liberal." But if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."

Independant Idiot--
Being pro-life and against stem cell research puts you in no man's land. Having beliefs that are core Republican values with a smidgeon of mainstream views doesn't help much either.
Contact Senator Joe Liebermann--He's just like you!!

Republican. My question is why are you against stem cell research. There are stem cells that are not from aborted babies. The are adult stem cells and non embryonic stem cells. They are giving great results and have produced cures. The government even funds this research. So you can take that off your list now.
