"In the research of theory and method, Chinese scholars have achieved fruitful results in nonlinear dynamic input-output model and made a related report at the conference; in the research of application, as a modern management approach input-output technique was successfully applied to many sectors of the national economy ."
I translated it from Chinese, but I am not satisfied with it. Could you please polish it for me? Thanks very much!

"In theoretical and practical research, Chinese scholars have achieved positive results in nonlinear, dynamic input-output models and have made a related report at the conference. In applied research, the input-output technique was successfully applied to many sectors of the national economy as a modern management approach."

It isn't much different from yours, but it sounds a bit better to me. You have chosen complicated terms (nonliinear, dynamic input-output models) that probably only have meaning to someone very familiar already with your subject.

It's hard to know if this would work without knowing the larger context, but how about:

At the conference, Chinese scholars presented a report on the research of theory and method that detailed their fruitful results in nonlinear dynamic input-output models. In the research of application as a modern management approach, the input-output technique was successfully applied to many sectors of the national economy.

Placing theoretical tenets into the realm of potential method, Chinese scholars have achieved fruitful results with the nonlinear dynamic input-output model, and have reported their progress at the conference: as a tentative approach to modern management, this input-output model was successfully applied to many sectors of the national economy ."

Wow! The first thing I would do is try to figure out what it is trying to say. Go back to basic English. What is the subject? (Chinese scholars), verb (achieved) object (fruitful results). New sentence: They reported;
bullet points (sorry, this program doesn't allow editing). examples
. nonlinear...
. input/output...
non-linear
etc. Take the sentence apart, select the actions/activity and the results.

The best advice I can give you is to change the semicolon to a period and being a second sentence. I don't know if this will work for you but they are two complete thoughts and will hold up separately.
