According to some people, it's just not the same as it used to be (say 20 years ago). I remember back then, everyone would invite anyone to stop by their houses to visit, eat, drink, and be merry. Nowadays, it's no longer the norm. Is that true? How sad if it is.

I don't think it so. What i observe is that people there are more concerned of their empty stomach. Unlike here in the rural and not so rural areas , where we make it a point to hold a fiesta in honor of San Isidro, the patron of good harvests.

Just got back from one in Mendez, Cav. and I'm drunk...

First time in my life I ate pata carabao and sisig aso. Wow!!!

Well, my barangay's fiesta is full of gay people doing some really-for-girls-only dance moves, gay people acrobat tricks and gay people performances.
