If I have answered against "public opinion" then I go back and check for thumbs down, to my surprise it is really never that bad. I never check for thumbs up because I always try to give a good answer so it doesn't bother me if it doesn't get acknowledged although I always feel warm and fuzzy when I get one. :)

No. In the anxiety to get more and more points, nowadays, I am simply answering questions, even without looking at others' answers.
