Women are emotional and sensitive creatures, and depending on the time of month the crying may be due to hormonal changes in her body!

because it is an emotional release. It serves a function. Sometimes it's just a physical reaction. Sometimes it's just self-pity. What does it matter?

I still hate like hell seeing them do it when I was the cause of it. And, unfortunately, I've had several occasions to verify that feeling.

There are few things in the world more powerful than a woman's tears.

Men don't get the same breaks. Try blubbering the first night you are thrown in a lockup. I've seen what happens to people that do. There are times it's not wise to show any form of weakness. And that's true of both males and females, stuck in wretched situations. Putting on a tough-a*ss front is the only way. But crying is not necessarily a sign of weakness. I had to learn to do it. I was taught as a child that it made me look like a p*ussy, and to suck it up and "take it like a man."

Followed that admonition for a lot longer than was healthy. Women aren't typically taught not to let it out when things overwhelm them. And that's a good thing. They wouldn't cry if it didn't help.

still hate the sight of it.

One of the causes is the repression of anger. Depending on how they were raised, some women still believe that it's inappropriate to show anger for fear of appearing "unfeminine" or threatnening. They believe they must be nice at all costs...even at the expense of denying their true feeling...which is a sign of frustration. So, as an alternative, they release their emotional energy through tears.

On a positive note, tears are also a sign of deep sensitivety to their surrounding, to their own feelings and towards others. Being deeply moved by touching gestures or things they percieve as beautiful can bring on the tears rapidly.

Both men and women can be equally sensitive, but unfortunately, men are trained from an early age that showing emotion is not acceptable 'manly' behavior. Which is not only unfair, but inaccurate.

All this unecessary repression causes all sorts of pointless crap.

Everyone cries, women are just not stigmatized for openly showing a gentler side. A guy in the same situation gets thwapped on the back of the head and told to suck it up.

It is their way of telling you that you are not listening to them or trying to understand them. Change stop being a bully and you will soon notice that girls seldom cry.

Women are more in touch with their emotional side. Are you stereotyping just a notch ? I cant remember when I or my daughter last cried.

thier hormones are not balanced at "that time of month" or if they are younger, they are just sesitive and will cry on anything.... It has to deal with hormones and the imbalance of them.
