They need to get out of the WAC to get some respect. They have a great record but really haven't beaten anyone noteworthy. I'm wondering if anything like a Mountain West or (way out on a limb) Pac-10 move is possible.

you need to understand something about realignment...when considering a change like this, the athletic department does not consider one athletic program, they consider ALL sports and the well-being of athletics at the school as a whole...is the pressure to realign triggered from one sport? usually, as we saw with the big east schools moving to the acc for football purposes, but those athletic departments examined how competitive their ENTIRE athletic program could be before deciding to make the move...now can nevada really compete in the pac-10 in other sports such as football? of course not...the mountain west? possibly, but it would still be difficult to upgrade conferences for all their sports...finally, if nevada basketball really deserves respect like i think they do, they will prove that come tournament time, they don't need to go out and change conferences just to please the court of public opinion and appease the people who say they play no one

u would not want to see nevada in the pac 10 or any of the elite conferences..It would not be pretty at all, puttin them in the league with the likes of ucla, arizona and such would make them look like the idaho of the wac..not that they dont have any talent..im a fan of unr and all, but putting them in the top conferences wont get them any respect by any means.
