I've just started watching Naruto and found out that there are two movies out there. Should I watch the movies before continuing with the TV episodes? Should I watch them before watching Naruto: Shiipuuden?

if u watch the subs episodes.. there should be an announcement on the preview of some of the episodes (for the first movie- the announcement is like on 90s or 100s)...
and for the 2nd movie u should watch it after the arch of Sasuke Retrieval (eps 107–135)...
that's becuase of the new techniques and charaters (change costume/sasuke missing)
then there's the third one (starts from ep 197 the op & ed theme change to the naruto move 3 clips)
so.. just watch it in order,, even there aren't much related to the story,, but there are some...
and also the OVAs ones.. the first one was before the chuunin exam.. and all the OVAs has Sasuke in it..
after watch all of the 220 eps then u could watch the Shippuuden one... (the fillers eps was not that boring though..)
so what ep are u on..?

What I think is that you should first watch some of the Naruto episodes to get the ideas. Then after you know the basics(and some other stuff) watch the movies. After you watch the movies you should watch Naruto: Shiipuuden(spell check?).

For the movies you can go to narutocentral.com and download movies 1 and 2. They're free so you don't have to worry. Or you can watch it on youtube if you want. And I heard there was a Naruto Movie 3!! :D The only problem is that it's only in Japan right now and not on youtube -_-'...

This is what I think. If you don't like it then it's OK. Just go with whatever is comfortable with you. =^_^=

Here is an EXACT guise on it. I used it. ^-^
Watch episode 1-100 first
Watch the first movie
Watch episodes 101-135 or like 137, the end of a mission. You'll be able to tell.
Watch the second movie.
You can watch the episode from 136-210, but they aren't from the true author. They are just episodes, so that the Japanese comic book could get a lot farther than the show. I watched them all except for the last two. lol
Watch Naruto Shippuden.
Also, the third movie is out, but it's not on DVD, so it's not subbed. Just thought I should say so.

I'd say watch around half of Naruto (to about Episode 115)

The movies (there are 3) don't have anything to do with the anime, so it's more to get to know all the characters and their relationships than to get to a point. Watch the movies before Hurricane Chronicals though!

you shuld start the episodes first if u never watch it yet..then watch the movie inbetween cause they are lik side story nd there are 3 movie out already the 4th one is coming out tis summer in japan but tatz just japan...if u want to watch it i suguest youtube it has all the episode including the new one but the newer one are in subtitle..so ya..ummm th movies are on their to..if u wanna like further information go to wikipedia nd type in "naruto episodes" nd it will list all the episode nd seasons..itz very useful wen first watchin...nd you should watch those before Naruto: Shiipuuden cause Naruto: Shiipuuden comes after naruto so u won't have a great of an idea of it as now..also there oavs too..those are really good i suguest those too

the movies don't take place until after episode 107....... with that being said, watch up too episode 140, then watch the movies, then watch episodes 216-220, then watch shippuuden. that way it is less confusing, and the movies don't actually fit into the anime, i just base it off episode 107 because none of the characters are suprised when they see naruto use the rasengan.

I can't believe your only starting to watch it now.The movies are like side stories and you could watch them if u wanted to but just don't relate it to the anime. Your gonna get bored of naruto during the fillers though, but the good news is the fillers have stopped and there's a new season called naruto hurricane chronicles.

particular, it rather is somewhat mandatory. (Naruto previously Naruto Shippuden) you will merely get misplaced yah recognize, i recommend, what's the element in observing in case you will merely get perplexed in a number of the episodes, you will no longer comprehend it of course. besides, the episodes in Shippuden has a connection in a number of the episodes in Naruto. you will omit lots of significant episodes, surprisingly humorous ones, and lovable/memorable ones too :) enable's merely say you will omit lots of episodes in case you will merely bypass. wait and notice.
