I suggest getting a new internet security like F-Secure or ZoneAlarm as they are much better than Norton because Norton takes way too many resources and does not so good a job.

No. But do download Mozilla Firefox to replace Internet Explorer if you haven't already. It will protect you from most of your internet hazards.

Mozilla Thunderbird is the matching e-mail client, replacing Microsoft Outlook. Again it will protect you.

Both are free. www.mozilla.com :)

I've switched to ZoneAlarm and Avast. AVG is also very good, and doesn't hog the machine. They are free and easier to use than either of the "big" guys.

Great question....I say DUMP IT. It is over-bloated crap that takes up way too many system resources. Save yourself $40 a year (not to mention lots of memory) by getting rid of it and switching to something like AVG. Great anti-virus and takes up very little memory...and did I mention that it is free?
