ITs not only insulting, but it sounds like it maybe sex discrimination. Situations like these make me glad that I am in a union.
Unless the new guy has something more than you like education or experience, I would talk to a lawyer. If he is just more qualified, I would suggest finding a different company to work for because the hours that he took from you and gave to this other guy, you will probably never get back.

no, i bet your owner would do the same if the new guys rose up to the same position as you. I bet you rmanager just want is to give the new guy more experience hours to learn and you more free time hands on. Think that as a good thing.

If your title was removed as well, you may have yourself a case for Equal Opportunity case worker.
If the owner can not show a cause behind your hours being cut, and giving your hours to another worker who has less experience, you may have yourself a sexual discrimination case.

Many times when ownership changes, the management changes also. This can be accomplished in several ways, including the way your new owner is apparently using on you. He is trying to encourage you to quit. Sorry....
