Okay, Little Red Riding Hood comes from Northern European mythology. The wolf is always a bad thing in German folklore. Edgar Allen Poe wrote a story called Wolves. If there's anything bad, its the wolf at your door. The wolf was considered the symbol of evil and starvation for centuries-notice there's even a picnic basket in the story.

the wolf disguised himself to get closer to Little Red so he could eat her. Not rape her. I think it's merely a fairytale to teach children that wolves can come in sheep's clothing (in this case, grandmother's clothing) and that children have to be very careful around strangers.
But honestly, as I am typing this and talking to my son about your question, this came to my mind. I was watching "Catch a Predator" tonight. I could see this tale as a story about child molestation. The wolf is the preverted adult that wants a child. Their talk back and forth about his eyes being large, his nails being large and his teeth being large is like their talk back and forth in the chat room. He gets the child to be comfortable enough to get close to him and then he pounces on her. She is able to get away and call for help. The axe man kills the wolf ( the police arrests the prevert). So maybe this fairytale is about rape or child molestation. But I'd rather think of it as a story with a moral teaching.

Something about a red rag, and eating her out. I suppose 'over the river and through the woods' also has a peculiar meaning if you think about it. But how many real life grandmas can come out of the wolf's stomach STILL ALIVE? Think about that.

the only thing I can think of is
Little Red Riding Hood is walking through the woods to grandmothers house when big bad wolf jumps out at her and says I'm going to f**k your brains out. She pulls out a 57 magnum and says oh no you're not. You're going to eat me like it says in the book.
