Zelda is a must have, and warioware, rayman, and wii play is fun too. I really want Sonic and the Secret Rings but I have no more money :'(

I've had zelda and wii sports for over a month now. Im still not finished zelda, and will NEVER get bored of wii sports, and since wii sports comes with it, i would suggest buying zelda and waiting a bit for mario party 8, if you really get bored of games that fast, try downloading a virtual console game, there are quite a few notstalgic memories included with those
if you are dead set on buying 2 games, get smooth moves, even though its short, its fun to play with a group of friends
or madden 07 (not the best graphics but still fun nonetheless)
DO NOT buy marvel ultimate alliance, its soo hard to play( some games are just not meant to be played on the wii)

Get only one game: Zelda, Twilight Princess
The other games are all extremely different and very idiosyncratic, I recommend you go into the stores and watch them being played before buying any. Alternatively, use the list below to see which kind of game you like, and the corresponding best recommendation.
Pikmin: Elebits
Mario Party: WarioWare Smooth Moves
GoldenEye: Red Steel

Zelda: Twilight Princess is a must.
As for the other game, pick Wii-play.
I haven't have a chance to try out SSX : Blur but if it's anything like the SSX on the PS2, it should be a lot of fun. It just shipped today, so I'm going to try to pick it up tomorrow if I have time.

I just got the Wii today :) Games I got: Zelda: Twilight Princess and Wii Sports.

Get Warioware and Wiiplay.
Wii Play is only $50 and it comes with an extra controller (costs $40). It's an awesome deal!
Warioware is a lot of fun and it's the type of game you can play anytime you want...

twilight princess-obiously
i have wario ware smooth moves but its to short
red steel has cluncky controllers and repetitive boss battles
excite truck gets borring after like 3 minutes.
if i had a second chance i would wait for mario galaxy, ssbb, or metroid prime 3 corruption.
