Goodnight, gorgeous! The only thing I've ever had that was decent as far as astronaut food was the ice cream. I would say a more appropriate comment for them would be "The food here sucks, and there's no atmosphere."

They may be homesick at mealtime, more than any other, missing their families and sharing that time with them. Personally, I would be wondering will I ever get back to Earth!!
