5ax-2b=ax-c

First, combine like terms...
5ax-2b -ax =ax-c- ax
Now, work to isolate the x...
4ax - 2b = -c
4ax - 2b + 2b = -c+ 2b
4ax = -c+ 2b
4ax / 4a = (-c+ 2b)/4a
x = (-c+ 2b)/4a
