If Newton's law is true then don't that mean the faster car will sustain the greatest damage because the opposite and equal reaction would be the recoil which will effect " That" vehicle itself, not the one it collides with. The impact will effect the car it collides with, but the recoil will effect itself.

When you add the MPH speed both cars were going, you get the rate of impact on both!
