Please save me...I got glue from the bottom of a coffee cup on my girlfriends end table (the rubber bottom to the cup had come off in the dishwasher) Any suggestions on how I might remove it without ruining the table?

Goo-Gone, it's an oil base with a citrus scent. It won't dry the wood out or damage the finish.

Walmart has it as does Target and most hardware stores.

Try "Goo-be-gone" -- it's a yellow cleaning liquid solution that is able to get almost anything off of any surface. You can buy it at most drug stores, and here is a link to buy it online: http://www.organize-everything.com/googone8oz.html. Believe me, it's well worth it and has gotten me out of many a tight space (believe me, it's the ONLY thing that gets nail polish out of a new carpet . . . let's not go there : x ). I think that this product would be your best bet on removing the glue, but remember, honesty is always the best policy -- your girlfriend is almost bound to find out, and she'll be less mad / annoyed if you come clean with her before you ruin her table. Anyways, I hope this helps you . . . good luck!!!

Take a brown paper bag and place it on top of the glue then take a iron (on med setting) and run the iron over the brown paper bag where the glue is and the bag will absorb the glue

I always use mineral spirits when cleaning wood.It depends mainly on what kind of finish is on the table. If it is a adhesive the mineral spirits will melt the adhesive so you can just rub it off.
