For me, the understanding usually preceeds the aversion.

Hmmm. Yes, I do. Sometimes the reason is very apparent in the beginning. Other times, it takes a good amount of time to see beyond the facade and understand their true nature, and to why I despise their antics that conflict with mine....No Matter, either way,I always do contemplate the matter and try to see what i can do in my own power and way of thinking to rectify it.

Yes, if i have to have a lot of contact with them...right now I am learning something new at my job. There is an overly motherly woman there who is very knowledgeable but overwhelms me with superfluous details to the point where i want to(or have ) cried. I thought about this. Sh ehas adult children living with her and does it to them too, attending to their every need, so I took that intelligence, and ask her things I really want to know about...taxes, money investments, divorce nuances...and she gabs away at me about these things. Thus, it fulfills both our needs now, her need to mother, my need for basic business info.

No it's usually very obvious why. I don't get aversions very often, or for frivolous reasons.

If the encounters are always negative, I just shrug it off as someone that I care less to associate with any more than what I have to.

Yes, I always want to understand the feelings that urge me to keep my distance from certain people.

Usually I just trust my gut, unless the reason is glaringly obvious I just know it, and let it (the feeling) and the person go.

Nope...I normally listen to my gut feelings and when I don't like someone it is usually because they have a bad vibe about them.
Nice patch...

Not as a rule.
Sometimes, though, I feel bad and try to work it out.
But generally, I'm way to bored to care.
