can the executor of a will which is another family member deny certain family members access to seeing the will?

I am NOT an attorney, but my understanding is that once a will is executed-through Probate Court-it is a matter of public record available at the county clerks office-and can be checked by anyone-blood relative or not

I can only remember one thing about wills and family's, property and money bring out the inner devil of many people, be careful not to get to much involved, the trouble can last for years, may grandfather passed away and most of his kids acted like animals,the oldest girl really was a bad lady, very greedy and she was a teacher for many years to little kids, people change allot over money, that's all i will say.
