I don't think there's any difference. I'd go more by skin type, you know dry, oily or combination. My favorite moisturizer is Elizabeth Arden's Visible Difference. It moisturizes without being greasy, and it doesn't burn around your eyes like some of the creams I've tried. I use Dove soap to wash my face, then I apply the moisturizer and then put my make-up on. At night, I wash my face and reapply the moisturizer. Try samples before you spend big bucks on it, though. Good luck.

I use Noxema to wash and Lubriderm to moisturize. Just don't dry your skin out because you don't want it to become even oilier.
