Who stole it? Little kid, teenager, adult? If it was the last 2 I would beat their ***. If it was the first one, I'd spank the butt red.

You will be meted just a few days of imprisonment and can even be on probation because theft of 53 dollars is a minor crime.

Probation, maybe a fine, maybe community service.

Likely less punishment for a "no contest" plea over attempting to defend oneself. Can't offer real legal advice, but unless you get a judge trying to be "hard on crime", you're likely to get a slap on the wrist. 30 days in minimum security at the worst.

If you are under 16/17 juvenile age---community service and probation, plus pay money back and court fees. That might be minimal, if older I am not sure.
