In years to come probably not. I think he will be met with the same level of criticism he is seeing now and people will move on once the election is in swing next year. After which, he will leave office and be forgotten in a few years. Down the road, several years, even decades, then he will receive the level of respect and praise he deserves, which is very little. If you mean "held accountable" in a legal sense or anything close to it, I do not believe he ever will. This is a president who has managed to side step a thousand landmines before his re-election and thousands more after. He is in every sense untouchable.

The United States' government has been reduced to political warfare. Our members of congress are not making decisions based upon the best interest of the country or their local constituents. They are making them based upon political strategy. They want to win and make their opponents look bad. If you don't believe me, then spend a little time listening to them. As an example, they are discussing the use of funding for troops as a political weapon. One argues that they could force a change in strategy and objectives by controlling funding. Another argues that such a move would look bad as it would appear to be against the troops. Not once among those arguing is the question of what is actually best for the United States and its allies brought up. The fact is that they don't care. Some in congress do care. The ones arguing such matters don't. That would include some presidential hopefuls.

First off how many times did you lie today and not have the Government come knocking at your door. If you are average and a man the number is 4.7 times. Secondly, the President offered up intelligence, which in the case of the Intelligence Committee, was not manipulated but rather the same raw data the President receives. The Congress voted by majority of both sides to approve the use of hostilities in Iraq. Spend some of your anger on your Representatives who voted yes and now are claiming ignorance. Are the stupid or just easily fooled, either way we elected them.

How about Clinton and all that he has done, or had done. Remember the guy who used to work for the Clinton's and was found dead of an alleged self inflicted fatal shot. Ask the experts if a body would just fall dead as he appeared to have done. It won't because of the actions of the body. The scene was to clean for it to have been a suicide. So, if we want to rant at President Gush, let's not forget Clinton.

When history remembers this era I thnk people will have discovered many people that lied, decieved, and did everthing else involved in dirty politics. If Bush is your scapegoat then so be it. Like Truman said,"the buck stops here". Personally I think as time goes by we'll discover that this ordeal is much deeper than simply one man

Bush can only be held accountable for his lies if someone is brave enough to file an impeachment case.

I think you misspelled "Clinton." Either that or you're too young to remember what a pathological liar looks like in the White House.
