i'm a texan, and ever since bush took office i had a feeling that a third war would happen sometime during or after his presidency (don't worry i didn't vote for him). am i alone in thinking that ww3 is right around the corner?

No way is there going to be a war anytime soon, everyone has become too politically correct and scared of the impact of another massive war. Which happens to be a large reason behind why the United States and Soviet Union never directly fought each other. Everyone is still a little sore from the second world war, even still, and the threat of nuclear warfare has a lot more people taking their seats than standing up with the war mongers. Don't bet on a massive war happening any time soon since the face of warfare has also changed from large trench warfare-ish combat to small controlled engagements since the spread of the information era through modernization.

The folly that is the Iraq war,justifies at least to my mind country's wishing to have nuclear weapons,to defend themselves. I do not like the idea any more than the next man/woman but at the end of the day,one of the first concerns of any government is to protect its boarders.

depends on what u expect to happen. i think something is going to kick off due to the mass divide between east and west cultures but i believe it would be conventional warefare and not nuclear. but you shouldnt worry you can always escape to mexico
