ok im about 5 1/2 months(22 wks.) and have been put on terbutaline(breathine)for having contractions already. i am pg with twin girls and due on june 28. my dr. said that the tightening up in the lower part of my stomach is contractions but sometimes i think that it could just be the babies sticking thier butts up. what are the chances of it being them even though they feel like their still up higher by my ribs or do you think it is contractions. they come about 4-5 times a day usually and my dr. does know about it, he just said that as long as they aren't 10-15 min. apart im fine..but this is scary to me being as my first pg. was just fine..any info will be greatly appreciated and thank you all

28 weeks pregnant and wow! i was just experiencing this a few hrs ago. i also want 2 know if its the baby pushing itself forcefully on the uterus' wall it gets pretty hard in one spot not the whole belly so i assume its just that. i asked the dr today though actually b/c last night i felt a tingle and then the whole belly felt like it grew and was about to pop literally. now that was surely a braxton hicks and she said its no worry, the uterus grows and kinda "tests" itself. now if its accompanied by discharge, or blood and they are close together then u should report it to look into preterm labor. otherwise, it happens she said and its fine. im a 1st time mom so this is all new to me and its hard to explain things and get good answers but i hope that can help u some!

I know exactly what your talking about. It sounds like your having braxton hicks contractions. If they start getting painful and last longer and get more intense and closer together call your doctor!
