Actually I mean how do you hang on to the answer you are writing for someone's question?

Thanks to all for your answers. All very good. This is once when I think I will give the choice to Yahoo. NAB I just found out by following your suggestion I can add any question to my Watch List so I can come back anytime. You don't have to submit an answer before putting on a Watch List. The first two people have some handy suggestions too, so I think I will be using everyones. Hope Yahoo doesn't take too long getting to you.

See under the 'ANSWER THIS QUESTION'. There's a couple of icons (star, flag, envelope, plus sign) there. Put your cursor/arrow over the +/plus sign. Then choose 'Add to my private watch list'. It'll keep that question on your list to come back to that question.

Then in your profile/MY Q&A page, where all your answers and questions are kept, click on your ' MY WATCHLIST' tab, and there's the question that you saved. Just click on the question saved, to go answer.

From that same place, in your ' MY WATCHLIST', when you're done and submitted your answer, you can remove the question from your watchlist.

That should work for you!

Addl' details:
Oh...you want to save your answer before you actually submit it to the question. I guess you can compose your answer on "Word", cut/copy your answer, then retreive your question from your watchlist, click on "Answer this question" then paste your answer from "Word" onto the space for your answer. This is the best I can answer.

I use Firefox, so I open a new tab by pressing CTRL+T. IE 7 can do this too. Another option is to open a new window by pressing CTRL+N. From there I do what I need to do and just click on the tab/window that has the question I am working on.

depends.. i sometimes, blog about it.. that means I will know where to find it again.
Other times, I put that question on a sticky note on my PC
In some cases, I just make a short note on my cell phone.
I think, the basic idea of writing it down somewhere (especially a place that I look up/use all the time) makes me remember that question..
