Janet Guthrie finished 9th in 1978, only one year after becoming the first woman to race at all. Danica Patrick has done the best- finishing fourth in 2005.

how is indy 500 a part of football? instead of worrying about the indy, you should learn how to read, and danica patrick is the only girl, so probably her.
