Where do they hurt your feet?? What style of heels are they?? How high are they?? Are they actually the correct size for your feet??
These are all questions which you need to answer before making this decision. If heels fit right, are quality made shoes, are not too high for you and are fairly supportive, they shouldn't hurt your feet.
If the shoes ONLY hurt at the balls of your feet, then buy some insoles for them and wear them all night!! If they crush your toes don't do it until you ensure proper fit. Also try some ball of foot insoles which keep the foot from slipping into the toe-box before extended wear. If they make your ankles sore, as in from working the muscles too much, then wear them with moderation until you build up the strength and endurance in them before long lengths of wear.
Most importantly, listen to your body!! Pain is the body's way of telling you to stop doing something before you get hurt. If you ignore that pain you can permanently injure yourself, possibly disabling you from ever wearing heels again. And we do NOT want THAT to happen!! :-)

It depends on the occasion. If you are going to a dinner or something where you won't be too active, then go for it! If you are going shopping, to school, or just out and about, then there are LOTS of cute heels (about 1 1/2 to 2 inches high) that are comfortable and are "made" to be worn for casual uses. (Though can always pass as a semi-dressy shoe!) They are very comfortable (I go grocery shopping in them!) and if you really like that look, I would really do some shopping and looking around, you'll know what ones are right when you walk around in them Little! They will fit like a glove and feel (kind of) like a slipper! I hope you find your perfect shoe and to directly answer your question, no don't kill your feet (or any body part for that matter) for fashion!

no, they have long term effects and can damage you. For one, they can ruin your back and make you have back problems when you are younger. I have back problems and my doctor says its due to heels. 2. they mess up your feet. Everyone I have seen who wears those pointy toe heels all now have feet that curve in, its gross. 3. if they hurt your feet, when people see they will see the pain as ur feet will be red and in pain. Also the style now is the flats. Go with that, some are pretty comfy and won't do as much damage to your back.

All heels hurt after a while, bring an extra pair of shoes with you and you can change later if they hurt too much.

I believe in being comfortable. If they hurt your feet, don't wear them. I'm sure you can find some heels that aren't quite as high and that are comfortable as well.

I do. just wear them for only a small amount of time or wear them when you know you will be sitting down a lot. Also wear them around the house just to break them in a few times before wearing them out so your not in such shock when you do.

I think high heels always hurt women, it just depends on how long you have to walk/stand in them.

i think that if you wear heels that hurt your feet, your face will look funny. and a funny-looking face will always bring down your fashion statement.
i think you should wear fashionable, but more comfortable shoes. X]
