Instead of doing my work to the best of my ability, always keeping myself motivated, focusing on my future, all four years of my high school, I chose to chase love, try to have fun and fit in, cared about my looks, and always searched for a best friend. Guess what? I am left with empty hands; I have no friends (I was betrayed by all and couldn't find any I could actually trust), I didn't have fun like I had hoped, and I didn't find a good boyfriend to experience amazing love with.. I was stupid to think about my ex for all these years where i could have used that time for my future and did something for me.
Oh, all the wasted years...how sad I am now!!
I procrastinated to apply to colleges, and the ones I did didn't accept me, the one's I want to get into don't want me, the ones I don't want are iffy and my final choice is a community college. Pity me pity me!!
All I have achieve so far is nothing. Decent high school days ( no good memories) and not a future I was hoping..

Your choices in the past may have turned out brilliantly - as a result of choosing to "chase love", you could have found love. In searching for a best friend, you could have found friends. Your choices had the possibility for you to reach the point you are now feeling satisfied that you had achieved everything you shot for.
But there is no way that you can prove that the way you are now is not the best possible way that things could have worked out.
Life is too complicated to have regrets. Just keep fighting. You've got more life left, so use it. It is your choice whether to wallow in your memories of failure, or turn them into wisdom and experience, to guide yourself and others.

Honestly, I have to say that I'm a little offended that you (and other people) have such a poor opinion of community college.
While I realize that there are many other factors in your life that are affecting you, I think community college is a wonderful thing that can open a lot of doors for anyone. I dropped out of high school when I was 16, got my GED at 18, and now I'm going to community college part time. I'm in my 3rd semester and I have a 3.9 GPA and I'll be transferring to a four year university after next semester, and I feel really confident that I'll be able to go to the school of my choosing. I wouldn't have said this 2 years ago.
Not to mention, I have been fortunate enough to have really good professors who I have learned a lot from.
I think that you need to embrace this option.
P.S.--High school sucks for everyone.

Part of your situation stems from being young. Don't fret about going to a community college. It's cheaper than a four year college, it offers a sound education, and associate degrees are transferable. I was in a similar situation, but soon I realized that I started off with one foot on the ground with the money I saved and I still went on to get a masters degree and a very decent job. You are still young and there will be many more opportunities to make memories and to achieve your dreams.

Believe me girl I have been in the same boat, except my craziness started after high school. At the age of eighteen I started to party, drink, and do drugs. I didn't want to go to college either. My parents were getting a divorce my senior year of high school. The both of them were too busy worrying about their own lives than to be concerned with mine. So, anyways. I went on for nine years partying. I had a son in the midst of all this, and even though I had this child to take care of, all I cared about was the guy(asshole) I was hanging out with, or I wanted to go out and could not because of my kid. Well, at the age of twenty-eight I started going to college, quit partying, and met the man of my dreams. I am now married to a sweet man and I am now a very good mom who balances a full time job and college. So remember, it's never too late to do the right thing. Once you start doing the right thing your life will start coming together. I am now thirty years old, and it took me this long to realize it. Never give up!

In the long run, it really doesn't matter. You have your whole long life ahead of you and at least you realized your mistakes now, not in 50 years when you are on your deathbed all alone. You have time to find love, make friends, and be successful. You are young and motivated. Start at the bottom and you will move to the top.
Good luck!

Ur not stupid. In fact I think u are quite wise. Most people go on making mistakes & not ever realizing them & not wanting to correct them. Dont worry, think of it as everything happens for a reason. I can see that you will do ok. My only advice is dont well in your past, or future. Think in the now. I wish u all the best!

Well, my friend, you are not alone.
You have two choices
1) Mope about the mistakes you made
2) Either rectify them by studying something else or make the best of what you have.
By the way, if I guy is right for you, I don't think he'll make you sacrifice your studies etc.
Anyway, I hope you choose option 2.

All is not lost. You are still young, you now seem to know what is important and what is not so go for it. Regrets are a waste of time.
