My 3-month-old son's temp has always been around 99.5. After he got his immunization shots it went up to 99.8. Dr said not to be worried unless it goes higher and to give him infants' fever reducer liquid (for example Infants' Tylenol) if it goes over 100.4.
I hope this helps you not to worry.

Most doctors wouldn't even call that a fever. They'd tell you to call back when it's above 100.4. He's probably teething or has a little cold. That temperature could actually be from dressing him too warmly. I wouldn't worry about it.

From what my doctor says you really don't need to worry until the temperature reaches 101.00. I'm not sure what your baby has, so if I were you I would call the baby's doctor and make sure it is okay with them.

Temp is normal...he may be teething. Try to avoid tylenol.
