Are body piercing surgeries safe? There's AIDS out there and what guarranty is there that their needles and equipment are properly sterilized? - are these people who body pierce qualified anyway? I want to get a belly ring but want to be sure first. Cheers.

I had my belly pierced 3 years ago and I made sure I went to a reputable body piercing shop which was part of a beauty salon. These are normally the best places to have it done as they have had to qualify by completing a course. I had mine changed at a Tattooist shop in London last September and they were great. They should open a fresh needle to pierce and tube needed to use to put ring in place in front of you as you know that it hasn't been used on someone else. Many tattooists are more hygienic than you think!!!!!
Good luck - i'm sure you will be fine as I had no problems what so ever and it healed in 2 days (very quick) I have heard nightmare stories but as long as you choose the right place you'll be fine.

Not safe, the equipment is probably properly sterilised and anyone that pierces has some training, but not always much experience.
I am not a doctor, I think that piercings can easily become infected. After the sterile needle and jewlelry are used you leave the tattoo shop and are now venerable to anything that could possibly get into the wound and infect it. The wound remains open and then is supposed to heal in a way that accomidates the jewlrey that is now inside of your body and it takes a long time to heal and dirt and anything else can get in and cause a big infection.
Yeah, like he said above, After it heals you will notice that the piercing smells like ***, I don't know why but it does, and whatever, you will regret it.
If you are going to get somthing peirced, why not get somthing cool like in between your eyes, the navel peircing is a dumb idea and usually goes hand in hand with a tattoo above your ***.

Getting a navel piercing ought to in effortless words be for your self. Revealing and flaunting it at the same time as ever you could to really everyone for no reason except going to the sea coast or pool is trashy. It seems awesome extra regularly than not on females with tone or extra healthful belly section. Get it pierced by a qualified piercer that makes use of all sterlized equippment and makes use of a hollow needle. diverse human beings react to soreness in a special way, so what would nicely be a lot less painful to different will be painful to you. easily to me there became no soreness a touch rigidity because the navel section is a thicker section to pierce, the rigidity in effortless words lasted for some seconds. Aftercare is to apply sea salt soaks for no less than 3 circumstances an afternoon for quarter-hour. sparkling the realm atleast once an afternoon with antibacterial cleansing soap like Dial cleansing soap. earlier cleansing the realm wash your hands throughly to avert an infection. also do no longer play or tug on your piercing this would delay therapeutic time. It takes btw 6-twelve months to fully heal. do no longer substitute your jewerly earlier its thoroughly healed or you'd be in probability of an infection or delay the therapeutic procedure. in case you do get an infection in simple terms sparkling the realm with sea salt soaks a minimum of three-5 each day for 15mins and antibacterial cleansing soap. do no longer use any alcohol, peroxide or antibiotics like neosporin they could clog and dry out your piercing which may reason an infection besides. in case you follow your piercers or the academic above you would have a healthful and an infection loose piercing. reliable success!

well they say its safe but there are people who have gotten infections and disease from body piercings. I was going to pierce my nose and the top of my right ear but I am scared. My dad use to do piercings so thats when I got my ears pierced. If you know someone like a friend who does it then go for it. A friend wouldn't screw you over. there is no way to know if anyone you don't know really cleaned everything well or not.

Just don't do it. Both my sister and my BF got belly rings, about two years apart from each other, both done by qualified piercers at hair salons. After a while, they both got infections from the rings rubbing on their skin and pulling on their clothes and such. They both have a little scar above/below their navel as a result. If you just HAVE to have one, go for gold or a good quality silver one, NOT nickel or plated.

they are very safe just make sure you go to a professional piercing parlour that's all.
when you get it done they open a fresh needle in front of you so there is no need to worry about aids or anything, also body bar is also sterilised too!

i live in aylesbury and to date i have 11 piercings, 9 of those have been done @ marks and punctures (Aylesbury) 2 @ rising poenix (Leighton Buzzard). personally i felt safer in marks coz i had most of my piercings there but they are both generally pleasant people. i would reccommend these places because they talk through the procedure, show u pics, and have seperate needles to pierce each body, then throw them away in front of you. to find a studio near you thy this address:~ marksandpunctures.com

I wouldn't worry so much with that, what I would worry about is what happens after it. I had one and I ripped it out by accident, it hurt like a S.O.B. I got it caught on the side of the bathtub and pulled it up. Its so easy to get it caught on many things without realizing it.
