THE BEST PLACE TO GO IS THE DEALERSHIP. WRITE DOWN THE VIN FROM EITHER THE DRIVERSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD OR THE DOOR AND LET A TECHNICIAN LOOK IT UP. THEY CAN TELL YOU WHAT HAS BEEN DONE TO THE CAR ALREADY ( AS FAR AS RECALLS) AND ALSO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. THEN IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID A MECHANIC TO REPLACE SOME OF THE PARTS THAT ARE ON RECALL AND HAVE RECIEPTS YOU CAN ALSO GET A LITTLE MONEY BACK FOR THE REPAIRS YOU PAID OUT OF POCKET.

there is about 3 different places in your car that have the vin # but the most visible one is by the driver side windshield. then go to www.carfax.com for the vehicle history

carfax.com to check the vin#, and it will usally tell you if there are any recalls.. Otherwise just go to the companys website from which your veh was made.. example like.. www.ford.com or something like that... There is usally a spot on each company's website that will give you recall info, and they will ask you to put in you vin# then it will tell you if there are any for your veh....

the vin number is on a sticker inside ur drivers door or on the dash on the drivers side. you can see it through the windshield right above the wipers. i think u can get a history from insurance places.
