Is hockey the best sport ever?

Baseball...first you wait for someone to THROW the ball, then you wait to see if they HIT the ball, then you have to wait to see if it's a FAIR ball, then they have to FIELD the ball while somebody RUNS.
Verdict: Slow & Boring

Football...First you put out the KICKING team. The opponent has the RECEIVING team. Then they have the OFFENSIVE team which is stopped by the DEFENSIVE team except that a bunch of players on the OFFENSIVE team can't even touch the ball. Then you might put out yet ANOTHER team, the FIELD GOAL TEAM. Sometimes the clock runs while the teams are standing around, sometimes not. They only play 16 games, which may explain why it looks like they won the Stanley cup everytime a quarterback is sacked.
Verdict: Slow, boring, illogical AND overexposed

Basketball: Kobe or Shaq gets 2 points. How exciting, gee I wonder if we'll see another one of THESE tonite? Half the players don't shoot the ball, EVER, the other half don't pass it, EVER. By the way, while athletes in ALL sports have tried for decades to be exempt from laws while off the court, NBA players have achieved it.
Verdict: Too high scoring, most stuck-up players on this Earth.

Soccer: Low scoring games of skill. EXCEPT when the score is tied or there is a penalty right in front of the Goal. Then let's reduce all the hard work and running to penalty kicks.
Verdict: Illogical

Hockey: Everyone has to be in shape. It takes all 20 Guys to win the Cup, the hardest trophy to win in all of sports. Lose the puck and your objective changes INSTANTLY. If you can't play BOTH offense AND defense, you don't stay in the NHL. It's fast and fun to watch. Now all we need is a Network who knows all of this.

Verdict: Hockey is #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course hockey is the best sport ever. It's the only sport that can entertain for the whole game. Soccer? Yawn. NASCAR? You're kidding, right? Baseball? *snore* Tennis? *slits wrists* Golf? *sticks head in mound of manure* Football? There is more time between every play than there is for the actual play itself.
Hockey rules because it's physical, fast-paced, and the action never stops.

I haven't seen every sport ever played, so I can't answer this question 100% truthfully. Hockey is definitely my pick for the best sport I've ever watched or played, though. I'm so glad I grew up 45 minutes away from the Canadian border!

it all depends who you ask, but since i played hockey..i would have to say YES :) I like it because it is like a gladiator sport, you are enclosed in an arena with sticks and skates and a frozen piece of rubber. Plus you have a healthy mixture of adrenaline and roughness, who could want more? A lot of skill goes into being a good hockey player and skating is one of the best cardio vascular workouts available.

Hockey is the perfect combination of speed, skill, toughness, huge hits, great goaltending, spectacular goals and more.
Look at some other sports.
Basketball - no hitting, wussy sport
Baseball - slow speed of play, no hitting
Soccer - Fall down crying if touched
Football - Too many long breaks in between in between plays (2nd best)
Hockey is better than all of these sports.

Well its a good sport, great sport. But Wrestling is the best sport ever. Football cool too. But wrestling is awesome!!!!
