I'm sixteen years old and I had unprotected sex. I know I messed up and I know it was a huge mistake, so please don't leave me any answers judging or critizing because I understand. I just need an answer, please. Is there any way of getting the morning after pill at my age without parent consent? Like, does Planned Parenthood offer that? And if they do, do I need to have an exam to get it? Please tell me everything you know.

Planned parenthood offers it, and you don't need a parent. Also, it only works up until 72 hours after the act. So.. i suggest going there as soon as possible. They may require an exam, but its up to them. Also, ask for protection. They have a program you can sign up for for free birth control for a year (your choice, pill, shot, patch, the ring). Please sign up for this (say you have no insurance) and take CARE OF YOURSELF!! I didn't do anything unprotected until i was married, please take the same vow!

plannedparenthood.org this will be able to give you more information!

Yes, Planned Parenthood does offer Plan B for girls under the age of 18.

I personally have taken Plan B twice. Once was when I was 17 and I had forgot to take my birth control pill. The second time I was over 18 and was able to have my doctor call it in for me at my pharmacy. Both times I took it I was completely fine. I had no side effects what-so-ever, but that doesn't mean you won't have any either.

As far as I can remember you don't need to get an exam done. I think they offer it and recommend it, but if I can remember I turned it down. They do ask you several questions though about you and your sex life. And, your parents don't need to know!

Go to planned parenthood as soon as you can. Plan B should be taken within the first 72 hours of having unprotected sex to be the most effective. Good luck! And be careful next time!

If you are looking to avoid your parents on this - the morning after pill can make you feel very sick. You won't be able to hide that.

Your parents were your age too once, even though it does not feel that way I'm sure. They won't like all this, but they will respect and trust you more in the long run if you can talk to them about this (at least your mom). After mom has it all sink in and gets calm (she will), she's likely to do whatever you need her to do to help you in making good decisions for yourself.

Don't give that resource up. She cares about you more than any pharmacist, planned parenthood staff member, guy you are dating, etc. She's the one that's going to be there years from now, no matter what you do. You and she won't always agree or be happy with each other, but if you are honest and fair with her she will be your greatest ally.

You can get the morning after pill at a free clinic like planned parenthood or family planning. For your age, everything would be free. Theyd give you an exam to make sure you didnt get any std and do tests. But it only work up to 72 hours after u had unprotected sex, so hurry!!!

Adagio health is a free clinic if theres any in your town, otherwise go to planned parenthood. But do go soon!!

Yes! supposedly, there are no state/federal laws saying a teenager must notify her parents to get the EC pill. But, a law was just passed that says women OVER 18 can get it without a doctor's prescription, but minor's still need it, so you'll need to see a doctor to get the pill. Some doctors' policies can be different and they might require a parental notification, so planned parenthood is probably the safest way to go.

you can try planned parent hood, but from my understanding u need your parents consent when i was 17 and was on the pill i had my parents consent. i think you need a pap smear my friend took the morning after pill but she had a papsmear. you can call planned parent hood and ask them if you can get it without your parents there. i doubt they will call your house and tell your parents. im surprised your parents dont know you are having sex, i told my mom after i lost my virginity. and if you cant get the morning after pill there is a possibility you might not be pregnant. there are woman who can only get pregnant in a 3 days out of the month like me for instance maybe you are in the same population. if you arent pregnant next time use spermacide and condoms or just tell your parents so they can get you on birth control. if my daughter was 16 and was having sex i wouldnt be worried about a pregnancy id be worried if she got a STD. good luck.

well in some states if you are 18 you can get it OTC but it costs about 45 dollars so if you kno someone thats 18 and you have the money you can do that. planned parenthood will give you the morning after pill, im not sure if they have to examine you or not - i got it OTC. just remember the sooner you take it the better and you have to take it within 72 hours.. good luck
planned parenthood also offeres abortions for around 400 (my friend just had one)

yes, you can get it at Planned Parenthood and your parents will not find out. they are very confidential. call them immediately-1-800-230-7526. my friend has gotten the plan b pill from them before and she did not need an exam. ask them just to be 100% sure, but i don't think you will need one. and at least you are doing the responsible thing now and getting emergency contraceptives. make sure you get them within three days of the unprotected sex. good luck.

The planned parenthood program will give a free morning after pill because they gave me one for free and free birth control. You must get an exam first (which is also free) to make sure you arn't sick or pregnant already. You need to contact them quickly b/c you can't talk the morning after pill later than three days after you messed up.
