I use bare minerals foundation and I have noticed a dramatic change in my skin. It took me like 6 months to take the plunge & order it but I have been using it for a little under a year and I will never use anything else. My skin always had breakouts and they took forever to go away and I was using clinique perfectly real makeup for a while then went to their acne makeup and nothing worked. So finally I just ordered Bare Minerals and I absolutely love it. I still use the clinique skin care line because that helps to keep my skin clear as well but I think putting any sort of liquid no matter how pure on top of irritated skin and leaving it smothered all day just makes it worse. Definately try Bare Minerals.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

I use physicians formula liquid powder foundation and then top it off with cover girl face powder. The best way to apply makeup if you have problem skin is to use a good facewash and oil free moisturizer. Another trick is to splash cold water on your face and then let dry. This will tighten your pores before the makeup gets a chance to clog them. Also, wash your face twice a day no matter what.

liquid or cream from any company, if you have tried some and know that they dont suit you then forget those, but oil of olay, revlon, l'oreal, lancome, etc....dont pile it up though cuz you will be able to see it in the light, finish off with a light powder and your good. Of course get oil free. If you wanna try bare minerals its up to you, i dont know anyone who has. I also think that its for older women with lines and stuff, not so much for acne. Also, tackle the acne if you wanna avoid doin this for years to come.

Mineral make up offers really good coverage, and doesn't have those nasty fillers like liquid foundations (which can actually worsen your skin). I like Bare Minerals ($24) and Everyday Minerals($12). Those cover really well and last a long time.

the absolute BEST kind is Chanel. it may be more expensive, but it is worth it. it's about $60.00 for a small bottle of liquid, depending where you buy it. i buy mine at Nordstrom in Dallas. i have a problem with acne, too, and the foundation, when you use a brush, smooths it out and makes the color so much more even. it is really sheer, but still covers irregularly colored spots. a plus: it smells like roses!

I would suggest bare minerals. It's good especialy on oily skin. The only problem is that's kinda expencive, but any powder will work too.

Just make sure you buy a foundation that is oil-free, fragrance free and hypoallergenic!! I really like Mary Kay Foundation and it lasts all day without the drying out of the skin!!
