Cleanse the moldy area w/ a solution of baking soda and vinegar to keep the bacteria away. After each use dry the toothbrush COMPLETELY before resting back on it's base.

Move the base away from the wet sink. Unplug it and clean it with a light solution of bleach and allow to air dry before using again. Wash the brush to remove all mold, rinse very well, and dry the brush handle before you plug it into your base. After every use, rinse the brush until all paste is gone, dry the handle and plug er in. Also make sure you run your exhaust fan during a shower and for 30-60 minutes after the shower. A good idea is to install a $20 timer on the fan switch to turn off the fan because you will forget and run it for hours which can be expensive.

Mold needs three things to grow. Water, air and nutriments. Eliminate one of these things and no mold. So easiest is to let the electric toothbrush dry out before you put it back into the base. Hope this works for you.

There are two things that kill mold - bleach and sunlight.Keep your toothbrush dry, you could keep it charged on your dresser in your bedroom. The bathroom is one room in your home that has alot of moisture in the air.It is also healthier, less germs in your boudoir.First give your toothbrush base a good scrubbing with bleach and put it in a sunny place like a window sill if it doesn,t go away completely. After changing it,s storage location you should be rid of this problem.
