personally i would say trash the 4 banger and get a v8. but to make it faster u will need to reprogram the computer or u wont be able to get over 100 cuz it will shut off. this will also help your air/fuel ratio. get some tires that are z rated.I'm not sure what kind of inners the civic has but u will wont a steel crank shaft, steel rods, and forged aluminum pistons. set up some kind of ram air system or if u got the money put some turbos on it. then change out the injectors to 80 or 90 psi. up ure compression ratio but not if you put the trubo on. then put a 100 shot of nos on in case they r still beatin u. just plz dont put one of those big wings on the back. it doesnt help u at all cuz u dont go fast enough for it to help anyway and u have a front wheel drive car so there is no point putin force on the back tires.

generally speaking when you redo and intake (to let more air in) you have to redo the exaust (to let more air out) i would say do it manifold back with flowmasters. the cheapest way would probably be a chip though. you can prob get another 40 hp or better from just a chip. but more than likely that will cause you to have to run premium in it. also you could get a k&n air filter kit. this can add 10 hp if you get the full kit
